As a behaviour instructor in class - you will work directly with a group of learners with a range of complex needs (social, emotional and communication), to ensure that barriers to learning are reduced and to support learners to achieve their full potential.
⁃ You will support teachers to ensure that all learners engage more effectively with their learning.
⁃ To be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies.
⁃ To be well organised in respect of resources in the class and the general classroom management.
⁃ To assist children with toilet training, nappy changing and toilet schedule/hand washing.
⁃ To help during school events and birthday parties
⁃ To ensure the curriculum for the class is implemented in accordance with the lesson plan provided by the Lead Teacher.
⁃ To be able to adhere to the full daily classroom schedule and to ensure that all activities are completed in a calm and organised manner.
⁃ To work on a 4:1 child to teacher ratio at all times
Candidate must have:
- Matriculates Certificate
- Psychology Degree
- Complete ABA course
- 1 year ABA experience
- Passion and desire to further their career in the field of specialised education in an AUTISM early childhood development centre/school
- Passion for teaching and desire to move from a 1:1 to a group setting
