Spreading the Love on Valentine’s Day

As a child, I can remember not being able to wait for Valentine’s Day at school when we would receive balloon grams and occasionally an anonymous note, card or rose!  And whilst Valentine ’s Day may be one of the most commercialized days, one cannot deny the enjoyment of celebrating a day dedicated to all things LOVE!

Sadly many are forgotten and for many Valentine’s Day can be very lonely – as the day seem to favour people in romantic partnerships so this year we felt that it was time to spread the love in our community!

The learners & teachers at the Amazing K School for Children with Autism have spent the past two weeks making gifts, packaging, flower arrangements and cards. On Valentine’s morning the owners of Amazing K (Noel Ross and Ilse Kilian-Ross) had the opportunity to deliver heartfelt gifts to the residents of the Ann Harding Cheshire Homes in Northwold, Johannesburg.

Revlon South Africa and Public Square Consumer Marketing partnered with the school and donated stunning pamper-hampers for each resident.  Thank you REVLON and Candice Meerholz for your contribution to our event.

We would also like to thank the staff and management of the Cheshire Homes for the incredible work you do and for allowing us the opportunity to “show you the love” …
