The Morning Routine: Starting the Day Right
The day at Amazing K School begins with a carefully crafted morning routine that sets a positive tone for the day ahead. Our small class sizes ensure that each child receives personalized attention from our experienced educators. As children arrive, they are greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, helping them feel safe and welcomed.
Structured Learning Sessions: Fostering Development
Our curriculum is built on evidence-based practices and have a strong “learn through play” core. The structured learning sessions are designed to support skills development in various areas, including communication, social interaction, academics and skills for daily living. At Amazing K Autism School – we believe in hands-on learning experiences, allowing children to engage with educational materials and explore their interests in a structured and supportive environment.
Speech and Language Therapy: Nurturing Communication
Communication is a fundamental skill, and we prioritize it at our Academy. We have an in-house speech team and speech and language therapy sessions focus on helping children develop their communication abilities.
Whether a child is working on verbal language or utilizing alternative communication methods such as sign language or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, our team is here to support their progress.
Sensory Integration: Creating Comfort and Confidence
We understand the importance of sensory integration, and our autism school environment is designed to be sensory-friendly. Sensory activities are incorporated into the curriculum and daily routines – thereby helping children become more comfortable with their sensory experiences and regulating their sensory responses.
Outdoor Play and Social Interaction: Building Friendships
Physical activity and social interaction are integral components of our curriculum. Outdoor playtime is a chance for children to explore, engage in physical activity, and build gross motor skills. It’s also an opportunity for social interaction.
Art and Creativity: Encouraging Self-Expression
Creativity is celebrated at Amazing K School. Our daily art/weekly art activities give children a platform to express themselves and explore their interests. These activities also promote fine motor skills and provide an outlet for self-expression.
Continued Learning and Skill Building: The Afternoon Session
In the afternoon, we continue with learning sessions, focusing on reinforcing the skills and concepts introduced in the morning. Afternoons are often quiet and teacher/therapist to child ratio go down to 2:1 and 1:1
